The packaging and shipping time were satisfactory. The specs of the part was almost exact to the original. The switch works with a built-in metal bracket that’s constantly under shifting tension and the original piece lived 30 years. I will return to update the review to 5 stars in about 30 years. Had GE technician come out and look at my compactor and he told me he could not fix it because the upper limit stop switch was burnt out and GE no longer made the part. I got the part number and googled it and found a matching Whirlpool part at Virginia

Received quickly. Part was correct and in stock.
