We paid $95 to have our problem diagnosed but decided we could save hundreds by ordering and replacing the part ourselves. The cost of the part at Virginia Service Supply was, in and of itself, a savings compared to other vendors. The most difficult part of the repair was getting the top cover of the machine off. We thought ahead and took pictures of the wiring connected to the fill valve before removing it. That was critical otherwise we would not have noticed that black wires all went to the left and red wires went to the right! We have a working washer now and are very pleased to have saved $300+ by doing it ourselves!
